Electrical Apprentice
Electrical apprentice working along side a Journeyman Wireman while attending classes at night. Apprentices will learn in all areas of the electrical industry including Instrumentation, Controls and Fiber Optics. Appliants will be required to take an aptitude test as well as an interview. Requirements
Apprentices are required to attend classes 1 to 2 nights aweak for a total of 720 instruction hours, as well as aquire 8000 on the job training (OJT) hours over the 4 year apprenticeship. Apprentices will be assigned their OJT by the apprenticeship. The current starting pay for incoming apprentices is $16.89 an hour pluss benifiets. Apprentices will receive wage advancemnts on an average of every 8 months. Current journeyman Wireman scale is $30.70 an hour plus benifiets for a total package of $44.95 an hour.
