Capenters/Millwrights Apprenticeship

Work with your hands, learn about the unique materials applied throughout the industry, and get comfortable using a variety of tools and techniques to safely and efficiently produce high-quality work. The skills you learn at Carpenters Training Institute can be applied on job sites across the Midwest. The classroom portion of the program will provide you with the knowledge and understanding needed to read blueprints and layouts, estimate time and materials, judge load capacities, and ensure the safety of everyone on the job site


From foundations to finishing, professional carpenters contribute to a variety of jobs throughout a project and are responsible for bringing blueprints to life. They rely on specialized techniques that have evolved over hundreds of years to measure, cut, join, erect, and finish materials for jobs of all sizes. While a sturdy hammer and reliable circular saw are essential parts of every toolbox, modern carpenters also work with computers and tablets to read digital layouts and control advanced equipment like robotic total stations.

 17 years of age and in good health, with a GED or high school diploma, is encouraged to apply for an apprenticeship at the Carpenters Training Institute. 


Veterans should submit DD-214 


Veterans are able to collect the GI Bill, on top of the weekly pay from the Contractor. You can collect a BAH as an E-5 with Depnedents, the following is the Estimated benefits per month in Omaha, NE


Housing allowance 



  • Months 1-6: $1,740per month/mo

  • Months 7-12: $1,392per month/mo

  • Months 13-18: $1,044per month/mo

  • Months 19-24: $696per month/mo
