Community Habilitation Worker - Jamaica, Queens NY
Location: Jamaica, Queens NY
Pay Rate: $19.00/hr.Hours: 6 hrs. per week

As a Community Habilitation Worker, you’ll empower individuals with developmental disabilities to live more independent, connected, and fulfilling lives. Through personalized support and meaningful community involvement, you’ll help people build confidence, learn new skills, and advocate for themselves.
What You’ll Do
Provide individualized support in home and community settings based on each person’s plan
Promote independence in daily living, social skills, and community access
Foster relationships and encourage self-advocacy
Monitor safety and well-being; report concerns as needed
Accurately document services using digital tools
Communicate effectively with families, teams, and care coordinators
Participate in staff meetings and ongoing training
What You Bring
Compassion, patience, and dedication to helping others
Ability to teach life or vocational skills clearly and supportively
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Comfortable with basic technology and documentation
High school diploma or GED
Valid driver’s license preferred
Bilingual in English/Bengali a plus
