Ironworkers local 118 Apprenticeship Program
Looking for veterans to apply for Ironworker Apprenticeship Positions!
If you are a veteran that has received an Honorable Discharge, the Iron workers will give you Direct Entry into their program, which expedites the application process. Apprentices earn while they learn, working on the job alongside the Journeymen.In addition they attend classes of related and supplemental instruction, approximately200 Hours per year for four (4) years.Starting wages for Iron worker apprentices are 50% of a journeyman's wage.As an apprentice accumulates an established number of on-the-job hours plus related and supplemental instruction hours, wages are increased at regular intervals.Graduating apprentices attain journeyman status and receive full pay for the skills they have earned.
Requirements
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and should have a minimum of a high school education.
When making the application, each applicant must present proof of age and proof of high school diploma, high school equivalency certificate, G.E.D. or DD-214 showing completion.

Applicants must be physically able to do work typically performed in the trade. No guarantee of employment is implied. Applicants who are accepted will be added to an existing eligibility pool only.
