Supervisory Pharmacist
About the Position: This position is located at Blanchfield Army Community Hospital, Fort Campbell, Kentucky. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation
- Supervises Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians in performance of work related to sterile products, prescription filling, and ward and clinic supply.
- Make assignments of work for each shift and assigns personnel to shifts
- Maintains control of leave and attendance of subordinate employees and notifies Timekeeper to insure absences are charged to proper leave status.
- Keeps informed of inpatient pharmacy support requirements and identifies changes in services and operations which must be made to accommodate changing needs.
- Interviews applicants for vacancies and provides recommendations for selection to Chief, Pharmacy Service. Provides orientation to new employees.

Basic Requirement for Supervisory Pharmacist: Degree: Completion of a doctoral degree in Pharmacy that is recognized by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) or an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained. Exemption: You are exempt from the basic requirements above if you are a current federal employee occupying a position in the 0660 occupational series and have been continuously employed in this occupational series since September 27, 2017 or before. Note: You will be required to provide appropriate documentation to the respective Human Resources Office to validate your status. License: A current, active, valid, and unrestricted license to practice pharmacy in a State, a territory of the United States, or the District of Columbia. Medical Requirement: Applicants must be able to distinguish basic colors. Experience: One year of professional pharmacy experience which includes assisting with overseeing pharmacy functions; establishing overall work to be accomplished; and providing training or oversight to pharmacy staff.
