Driver Courier (Postal)

As a Postal Services Specialist, you'll play a critical role in handling all aspects of postal operations, ensuring efficient processing and distribution of letters and packages while delivering exceptional customer service. From managing postal address information to providing briefings and accepting incoming packages, you'll be a key player in maintaining the integrity and security of postal services.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Provide postal address information and mail directory services for dormitory and general delivery mail

  • Maintain postal directory file and provision of directory service for undeliverable or forwarded mail

  • Assign and terminate postal boxes

  • Provide incoming and outgoing briefings at service window

  • Answer postal related questions at service window

  • Input information from AF Form 624 for incoming and outgoing personnel

  • Change locks on closed receptacles

  • Accept and document incoming packages for Fed Ex/UPS and other small parcel carriers

  • Check mail for suspicious packages/letter bombs

  • Meet or exceed the attendance expectations for this position

  • Actively maintain a safe, healthy, and positive environment that promotes the physical and emotional well-being of employees, customers and participants.

  • Drive the Goodwill vehicles to and from designated locations in a timely fashion.

  • Ensure Goodwill vehicles are kept clean and safe at all times.

  • Drive with courtesy to others and positively represent Goodwill to the public.

  • Comply with all Department of Transportation guidelines and Goodwill policies & procedures.

  • Other duties as assigned or required to fulfill the contract

  • Drives Goodwill Postal Service Vehicle to deliver messages, documents, packages, and mail to various business concerns or governmental agencies, may occasionally transport office personnel and visitors, perform miscellaneous errands, such as carrying mail to and from the post office and sorting or opening incoming and outgoing mail. The Driver Courier may obtain receipts for articles delivered and keep a log of items received and delivered, and deliver items to offices and departments within an establishment.
