Flatwork Machine Finisher
Responsible for laundering military and hospitality linen and laundry in accordance with the contract requirements. Operates, monitors, and adjusts settings on commercial flatwork ironers. Operates machinery to meet daily production targets/deadlines. Will have knowledge of safety hazards, including hot, moving machinery. Sorts clean linen by type and client and performs automatic sorting of finished, high-quality items.
SCHEDULE
Hours:7:00am to 1:30 pm
Work Days: Five days a week (schedule assigned by manager) Please note that some days you will be sent early as the workload changes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Launder all items received from the contract facilities in accordance with the contractual requirements.
- Use Flat Work Ironer to press sheets in accordance with the contract.
- Return laundered item to carts to be returned to the military facilities.
- Responsible for informing supervisors and project manager of problems with any of the machinery in order to prevent accidents.
- Follow all OSHA and company safety protocols.
- Receive general oral or written instructions and assignments from supervisor and/or project manager.
- Carry out assignments with independence.
