Cardiovascular Technician

Job Summary and Qualifications

Shift and Position Information: Four-9hr shifts in the Electrophysiology Lab Monday -Friday. No Call Required. Optional to pick up call in the Cath Lab if individual lives within 30 min call window.

 The cardiovascular technologist assists with all procedures in the Cardiac Cath Lab including scrubbing, circulating, recording and monitoring patient status to ensure optimal patient outcomes. 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting physicians with complex cardiac and vascular procedures, including angiograms, angioplasties, and stent placements 
  • Preparing and supporting patients and families with care, education, and reassurance before, during, and after procedures 
  • Operating and maintaining advanced equipment to deliver safe and effective treatment 
  • Monitoring patient responses with vigilance and compassion to ensure the highest level of care 
  • Safeguarding a sterile, safe environment while serving as an advocate for every patient 

What qualifications you will need:

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • Two years experience in licensed field and one year cardiac cath lab experience preferred
  • State of Florida Paramedic License or CCT (Certified Cardiographic Technician) through CCI
  • ARRT registered or RCIS certification within 3 years of hire, if not a Rad Technologist with ARRT.
  • Florida State Registered Radiologic Technologist
